Record Rio is a TV channel in Rio de Janeiro owned by Edir Macedo, a religious leader of a protestant church. The programming of this channel is also generalist, having invested heavily since 2005 in the production of telenovelas, when they purchased studios in Vargem Grande. Today the content of Rede Record is co-produced by Record Rio and Record São Paulo, being Record Rio responsible for most of the soap operas. Since the initial purchase, Record's Studios called 'Recnov' have been greatly reformed and increased in size, going from the initial 40km² to an astonishing 280km², recieving the title of second biggest TV complex in Brazil. Record can be tuned in channel 13 VHF, and 38, 25 and 38 UHF |
